Valimex was established in 1980 and has since been supplying London’s best Michelin star restaurants and 5* hotels with the very best fresh produce and finest ingredients from across the globe.

The Thakrar family, with a strong background of importing fresh produce since the 1970’s, acquired Valimex in 2012 with the view of becoming London’s leading foodservice company. With a wealth of over 40 years of fresh produce knowledge and experience, the family carried on the core principles of the best produce and service to the London hospitality industry.

Over the last 12 years, Raaj and Viraaj Thakrar have continued to drive the business forward, expanding our delivery area to outside London and beyond. With our strong network of growers both in the UK and globally, we have continued to nurture relationships with the best UK growers, collecting directly from the farm and delivering within 24 hours into the kitchen.

We are entering a new chapter in Valimex’s history as we really focus our core values as a family business, aiming to increase our product range, customer service and strengthen working relationships with both our customers and our network of growers and producers.

Service is at the forefront of everything we do – we have built strong working relationships with our customers and suppliers based on hard work and trust.

Valimex aim to supply the finest ingredients and the freshest produce to chefs with a wide and varied product list of fine ingredients including vegetables, fruits, dairy, and specialist dry store ingredients along with specialist frozen ingredients.
